WASHINGTON, D.C., – February 1, 2021 – Earth & Water Law, LLC announced today the addition of Jack Grady to the partnership. Over a career spanning more than 40 years, Jack has represented clients in litigation, corporate transactions, investigations, and regulatory matters, in defense of civil and criminal environmental enforcement actions, private party environmental claims, and other environmental litigation.
“Jack brings the leadership and proven track record in tackling some of this nation’s toughest environmental issues,” said David Moore, Partner of Earth & Water Law. “His depth of experience at the federal level, combined with his wins in managing complex cases, will immediately serve the needs of our clients and enhance the offerings of Earth & Water Law.”
“I am thrilled to be joining the team at Earth & Water Law and applying my environmental background during this time of transition and regulatory uncertainty for so many regulated entities,” said Grady with extensive background in helping his clients manage and mitigate enterprise risks. Grady has also assisted clients in the creation, sale, and purchase of emission reduction credits and secured a carbon sequestration agreement.
Jack began his career by establishing his own trial and business law practices with offices in Boston and Salem, Massachusetts, before moving to the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ), where he served as a Trial Attorney with the Environmental Enforcement Section. While at DOJ, he handled environmental enforcement matters under CERCLA, RCRA, the Clean Air Act, and the Clean Water Act, and was the recipient of DOJ’s Special Achievement Award and two U.S. EPA Bronze Medals for Commendable Service. Most recently, he represented clients at Jones Day in Atlanta, GA, and Washington, D.C.
