Biography

James O’Donnell is a second-year law student at Texas A&M University School of Law. His academic focus is environmental law, which includes experience with Administrative Law, Water Law, and International Energy Transition and Dispute Resolution, reflecting his strong passion for addressing complex environmental issues.
Through his internships and research roles, James has sharpened his understanding of environmental law. As a Legal Intern at the New York City Department of Environmental Protection, he represented the agency at administrative hearings, drafted appeals, and contributed to research on air pollution regulations and environmental conservation initiatives. Additionally, as a Research Assistant for Professor Gabriel Eckstein, James conducted in-depth research on groundwater laws, including transboundary water compacts and treaties.

Before pursuing his J.D., James earned a BBA in Management from James Madison University and worked as a Project Manager, overseeing several construction projects. His diverse background, coupled with his legal training, positions him to bring a unique perspective to his work.

As a Law Clerk at E&W Law, James is enthusiastic to integrate his legal education, practical experience, and environmental law interests to support the firm’s clients and contribute to impactful legal solutions.
